Original poems “Home” and “Unnaturally Forced” written by Mohamed Abdelwahab.

Digital Poem by: Israa Abbas

Researcher’s Method: I chose to combine two of Mohamed’s poems because they seemed to express the nature of home, life, and death/grief in one concept. Using the SQL format I created a table that resembles a blueprint of a house that the database generated specific common words the poet used and I also added some more words from the poem to finish “building” the house on the blueprint to give more emotion to it. Also, I placed the words in specific ways to “connect the dots” to create sentences using the words presented. In the Arabic language, reading right to left is also a factor I used in creating this. I created a scrolling action on the bottom of the blueprint to give the feeling of opening up a rolled up blueprint sheet. The color blue symbolize the revolution of Sudan.
